In a speech in Greece on “Western civilization”, Marco Rubio praised European colonialism, erased Native Americans and declared the West must use force to “maintain its place at the head of the world”
As good as this article is, I think it's actually underplaying the intensity and level of danger of the problem.
That speech is a preface to an imminent NATO (white eurocolonial army) attack on Iran. That is why he spent time on the false narrative of persia as the villian. The scale and breadth of the planned bloodbath apparently demand that he embeds the call to mass killing and mass death, in some historical robing. And Greece would be a major logistical staging ground for it, following the loss of many US military bases in west asia and the proximty of the remaining bases there to Iranian counter attack.
That's what actually went down in that speech. He has TOLD everyone, they are going to throw the whole world in WW III now.
Poor, Poor Marco Rubio stuck in the starting gate on Fantasy Island. Like everybody else in the Trump cabinet he suffers his personal brand of denialist lunacy. Empires are never for ever as any self-respecting high school history teacher will tell you. Grievance must be come acceptance and the remediation begun. Intransigence and a refusal to adapt come with a very high price, especially where moral and fiscal bankruptcy already prevail.
Sounds great. Most fantasies do. Here's the reality: the US hasn't won a war since 1945. The middle East is full of countries we set on fire, but in every case we leave them worse off than when we invaded. The best example of our go-to strategy of regime change kinda-sorta worked, Syria, only came about because we embraced and empowered ISIS. But I guess it's worth it because the US took control of Syria's oil producing region. The latest fiasco in Iran is just the most blatant unveiling of the Mad Emperor's new clothes. Yes, US missiles killed the Ayatollah - and a bunch of his family out of callous indifference - but they got a new Ayatollah. They have shown they can blockade the Straight of Hormuz indefinitely. The "don't call it a war" will end when Iran decides, not the US. And little Marco thinks a lot of tough talk will usher in a new age of American dominance? I doubt even he believes it.
