Ben Norton has become one of my very favorite geopolitical analysts. He makes complex ideas clear and simple to understand without watering the down.

Now I know why I gravitated towards Russia and China more than western governments when I became more aware of the true nature of how things are in reality

The US has always been the wolf in sheep clothing and using any means to project itself as saviour while literally employing Nazis under their direct command

Their hypocrisy stinks to the high heavens

Ben, I was aware of a lot of this as a student of history, foreign affairs, and strategy, as well as a Cold Warrior retired after 36 years. You have included details that have confirmed my suspicions, and I will try to trace your sources. Thank you for this addition to my education!

"...What the Western capitalist “liberal democracies” and the fascist regimes shared in common was mutual hatred of communism. ..."

To be more succint: WW II was primarily a factional battle among fascist colonial countries.

Having savaged each other and decided who was top dog among the fascists, they proceeded to attack any remaining bastions of social or communal values on the planet, and it is a war they have continued ever since.

Keep up the great work you've been doing, Ben! Voices of sanity - especially well-informed ones - are desperately needed these days.

Ben, you are 100% correct. In fact, imperialism/colonialism by the Europeans and the Anglo Americans were merely the precursors and precedents to fascism. If the British, North Americans, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Belgians, French could slaugher million in the South America, Africa, Asia, why should the Nazis have the right to do the same to Russia, and for the Japanese to do the same to China? In a way China had it even worse because it lost 20-100 million in the neo colonialist inspired Taiping Rebellion in the 19th Century. And of course the foisting of opium on the Chinese people.

Dear Ben, again, I have yet to disagree with you on anything. Learning about China's role in WWII first came as an embarrassing accidental surprise, then an ah-ha moment. China has values. The west has Thatcher/Reagan "greed is good" psychopathy. Thanks for all you do.

Ben you are one of the few keeping historians honest!! And your research is so in-depth and easy to understand. Brilliant 👏

When the world finally awakens to the mass brainwashing over decades on unsuspecting minds, we may just have a chance for future world peace. Knowledge can change anyone's perception who appreciates and craves total honesty.

Thank you

Thank you for not whitewashing history. The sacrifices made by the USSR and China during the Great Patriotic War/World Anti-Fascist War/WWII will never be forgotten.

Thankyou for this Ben. Articles like yours are why I remain on Substack. I hadn't realised until about 10 years ago that China was responsible for inflicting up to one-third of all Japanese casualties during the entire Asia-Pacific War (1931–1945). About 480,000 to 500,000 Japanese soldiers, or 24% of Japan’s total wartime military deaths were in China. This underscores China's critical, and under appreciated role in the Allied victory. Sources: Japan National Institute for Defense Studies; and Rana Mitter "China’s War with Japan, 1937–1945" Harvard University Press, 2022. Thanks again.

After WW2, with "Operation Paperclip" German scientists were imported into the USA and Russia and developed the H bombs for both.

When JBS—a company built on confessed systematic bribery—operates with impunity in America, receives federal contracts to feed your children in schools and soldiers on bases, employs 70,000 Americans as leverage against political accountability, and uses that leverage to negotiate with presidents on both sides of the aisle, your food sovereignty is compromised.

When Peter Thiel's Palantir—marketed to conservatives as a "based" company—uses facial recognition to hunt January 6th protesters while Thiel sits at Bilderberg with Democratic mega-donors, your political movement is being controlled by the same people you think you're fighting.

When Trump abandons political allies for trade deals with corrupt regimes, transactional politics replaces principled governance.
