I knew my country constantly meddled with the internal affairs of South American countries but I didn’t know they would do so this recently. I’m American and I’m appalled. Lula, Brazil and all the other countries we’ve bullied deserve to live their own lives and their own ways.
I am Brazilian by birth, and I grew up under the military dictatorship coup that USA imposed on Brazil and last 22years! I saw many lives destroyed and families ripped apart due to the dictatorship regime. Our country was devastated by cruelty, fear and ignorance of the right wing and corrupt greedy that put Brazil in a social down spiral and retrograde in technological and cultural advancements.
David, thank for your kind words, but I am working in the USA for the last 15 years and I came to understand that Americans has very little to do in regarding what their own government does around the world, politically and the many war and coups planned, and even domestically the Congress and Senate will listen AIPAC and other lobbies before pay attention on the needs of the American people... It's a shame that we are living the last 50 years in a country travestied of democracy but in fact is an autarchy ruled by corporations and Techo millionaires, like Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk and few others, that could live 20 generations more and still be very rich, while their workers struggle to pay for groceries and rent :( . I believe Americans as many other people in the world are living a new form of feudalism. We need break the Matrix for the next generation to have a chance!!!

Trump too quickly forgets that he speaks for only 4% of the world's population.
BRICS already represents the majority of the world's population and it is inclusive, where he still lives the fantasy of a unipolar world.
Tragically, the US made the decision 70 years ago it could dominate the world through economic chicanery and militarism; but in the end strong planned economies are the final arbiters of world domination, especially when the likes of China has 4x the US population and must scale its economy accordingly, as must other countries.
Every time he opens his mouth he implicitly denies that the vast majority of the world's population have a right to self determination and right to live in peace.
After 500 years of Western imperialism, wars, violence and lawlessness are no longer affordable and a new world order centered on planetary survival is essential.
Hopefully, with time and healing, in a decade or so, the US will take its place working in cooperation with others, and as a member of BRICS.
