"A nation as such does not give aid to another nation. More precisely, the common citizens of our country, through their taxes, give to the privileged elites of another country. As someone once said: foreign aid is when the poor people of a rich country give money to the rich people of a poor country."

"Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor country" is attributed to Ron Paul, a former U.S. Congressman and presidential candidate known for his libertarian views.

Excellent work as usual Ben. You, Brian Berletic and KJ Noh are the best geopolitical commentators in the world today in different ways. Do you already have the transcripts when you put the videos on YouTube? If so it would be good if you could put the transcript into the video description. If you produce the transcript later then could you please update the video description on youtube to contain a link to pieces such as this. I keep a number of your videos in a Ben Norton folder in my favourites but it would be useful to have the links to these pieces also.

US soybean farmers voted for Trump, who then started a tariff war with China, causing China to cancel all newcrop soybean imports from USA, which will bankrupt many US soybean farmers.

Meanwhile USA bails out Argentina with $40 billion, helping Argie farmers export soybeans to China, contributing to bankruptcy of US soybean farmers.

You cannot make this up!!!

Trump is truly a stable genius!!!

More heeelarious misery about the US soybean crash.

So sad it makes you laugh.

So funny it makes you cry.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8mzw7FOj5U

But that is just one "small" example of how stable genius Trumpty Dumpty is (mis)handling the US economy.

Also: Trump is favoring imports of Argie beef into the US which will damage US cattle ranchers and beef exporters who voted for Trump.

Also:

Eight Asian auto makers are pulling out of the USA, with loss of 42,000 US jobs. Of course, Trumpty Dumpty will never admit that ICE wrongfully arresting 300+ Koreans setting up a factory in the USA has anything to do with it.

Also the USA strong armed their Dutch poodles to confiscate the Chinese owned Netherlands based Nexperia company, causing the Chinese parent company to cut ties with that subsidiary and freeze all chip deliveries. This will have disastrous downstream effects for multitudes of European chip customers eg car companies like BMW and Volkswagen, freezing their production lines and further damaging the collapsing European economies.*

Happy days!!

*Nexperia Netherlands lesson to the rest of the world: the people in those nether-regions are untrustworthy, do not invest there.

I sort of knew Trump wasn't bailing out Argentina out of the goodness of his heart. First, he'd have to have a heart. Secondly, there's never anything good for the working masses in bailing out billionaires who make bad decisions.

Good article. And, this won't surprise anybody: Mile is a rabid, genocidal Zionist, just like his friends in the Trump administration. I've always opposed single issue voters as myopic, but I'm increasingly feeling that this one issue, Zio or not, maybe an effective criteria when deciding who one should support politically. If there is any trace or history of Zionism in a political figure, I will never support them for any position of power.

Lots to unpack here, as usual. Thanks Ben!! Argentina has largest lithium supply, control of this trade wanted by US. Musk uses lithium in electric car batteries. So vested interest there. (It would be good if the contradictions in Trump belief in Climate Change as a "hoax" and Musk's electric car business could be examined.) I read Argentina trades lithium with China, is halt of that trade on US agenda? AND lithium is essential in production of military communication equipment etc so there's a huge US military need there. Argentina has recently given US access for "military" operations. There's an election in Argentina this weekend. Corporate/military control of any govt doesn't give a damm about we the people.

This is an exceptionally researched and crafted article, I had knowledge of some of the billionaire connections, and the lithium Argentina had embedded in their country, but this connected a lot of dots for me. Thanks for sharing!!

As always, Ben Norton, well researched and presented. It's all about big money, and their not wanting to lose it, and fuck anybody or anything that gets in their way. Javier Milei will soon be in the the politcal trashcan of history, and hopefully Trump will soon join him there.
