It's a horrible situation in Peru and I don't see how this will end well for the majority of Peruvians anytime soon. I live in Chile and our president Boric at first condemned the coup but since has remained silent. He met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken a few months ago who is one of the worst war mongers and interventionists in the US government. They both made plans for projects between the two countries which you and I know is not going to be good for the citizens of Chile nor our environment. And, this is with a president who always fought neoliberalism but has moved to the right since his election, and he is continuing our previous President Piñera's policies. A recent law was passed by the Congress and he signed which split the left parties to give the police and military more power against the people. As we move onto a multi-polar world, and with Brazilian President Lula leading the charge, I can only hope that they will be able to free Boric from the US Empire's grip along with the other countries who are exploiting all of our natural resources, here in the South. As the US Empire implodes we'll see even more sanctions and coups as they ramp up their terror around the world. Good luck to us all.
