Speaking to EU leaders, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave a pro-colonialist speech calling to revive “great Western empires” and “build a new Western century" based on exploiting the Global South
I wonder who wrote the speech for Little Narco? It sounds like neocon wishful thinking and history written by an exceptionally ignorant legacy simpleton who graduated from a Christian Madrassa high school. And what of the Europeans? Especially the Germans. They're clapping for thier "partner" who destroyed their safe, cheap supply of gas from the Russians, in order to steal and otherwise destroy their industrial base.
Really, a solid analysis that hits nearly all of the key messages in the speech that the mainstream reporting has overlooked. Great work!
One more point -- in the last sentence ends with a promise: "...because yesterday is over, the future is inevitable, and our destiny awaits." Do you get it? He's saying that the child and heir of Europe, now 250 years old and all grown up, is taking charge of things, has a strong vision for the next century, and will claim its inheritance.
Inevitably, parents die... and when they do, children inherit their assets.
Trump's vision for America's "destiny" -- to claim Europe over the next century -- is much bigger than people are willing to believe or to see. (Also, talk about echoes of taking over the Trump family business.)
(I published a linguistic analysis of the speech on my substack last week if you want to see more of those insights.)
