I cannot begin to comprehend the full extent of billionaire machinations taking place behind the scenes. It appears that some kind of power consolidation is taking place. Finally, I read a news report on the fact that "rare earths" are found in coal ash, something the USA has a lot of given years of burning coal. My point, I don't think "we" the USA industrialists need to go to Venezuela to mine rare earths; we have tons in our back yard as it is.
The same is true for uranium. The US is dependent on foreign suppliers for uranium and enrichment. The US should stop all space programs and invest domestically in energy and electricity.
The US doesn’t have the technology and hardware to purify rare earth minerals. The US is lagging 10-20 years behind. The hegemony is coming to an end. And so is globalisation.
