It's also funny how Harris's 2020 campaign featured single-payer health care, but was conspicuously absent from her 2024 campaign. The whole point of the democrat party is to prevent movement to the left.

That's what's called "ratchet effect". Republicans move everything to the right, and democrats keep it from going back to the left.

One thing I’d add, is that over the last 2-3 months Tim Waltz, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry made statements that the “freedom of speech is not absolute and some changes will need to be made”.

I bet you that didn’t resonate well with many people. Just as the support for Israel’s genocide.
