The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis published a jaw-droppingly misleading graph portraying China as spending more on its military than the US. In reality, the Pentagon's budget is three times larger
No surprise that "Business as Usual" USA ( politicians ) is lying as usual !
Now they are reaching, but in my opinion, they are rather surpassing the Goebbels level of Hitler's Germany ! Congrat to the common ( normal people ) americans !
Unlucky people think we ( world ) believe them, but we only despise them !
Every article about China in the New York Times is negative. It is a propaganda tool of the CIA and the US deep state to brainwash the US population so it will support confrontation and war with China as is the graph discussed by Ben Norton.
In 2003, when I was ensconced in Baltimore, Maryland, I attended a town meeting hosted by Congressional Representative Ruppersberger at Dundalk Community College(on top of the old Holabird Jeep Factory of WWII fame) regarding the topics of terrorism and US foreign policy. When the point was stressed about the disparity between China and the US government outlays to the military sector an active duty sergeant in United States Army Intelligence(of catch-22 fame) objected to characterizing this disparity in numerical terms.
He insisted due to PPP and other things like social relations such quantifications were absurd, quite persuasively from my relatively learned perspective.

Thank you, Ben! We really appreciate you.
